The Lie Halfcoloured

In some countries (including mine ) this gesture, secretly crossing the fingers behind your back, means that you're lying. For example, little children sometimes do this while promising something they don't really intend to do, and later, when their parents scold them because they didn't do it, they say "I didn't really promise it, I crossed my fingers!"
